DISORDER TREATMENTS

Although there is no specific treatment for Calciphylaxis, the foremost step in the treatment of this disease is to normalize the patient’s calcium and phosphate product levels. This can be done through a regulated diet with special consideration to phosphate restriction. (Dermnet) Surgical intervention may be required to treat Calciphylaxis. Due to the excruciating pain that patients suffer, adequate pain control is very important in any course of treatment chosen. (Medscape)
